On Saturday, Mommy and I went to church to play Jesus and Mary for "Bethlehem Morning." We were inside the Fellowship Hall on a Stable "set" with goats and some hay. All around the Hall were activities for our church preschoolers. We were definitely the main attraction!
I was wide awake at the beginning checking out everything!See the goats in the background - all of the visitors got to pet them (but Mommy wouldn't let the visitors pet me - too many germs! And she gave me a bath the second I got home. I can't imagine why!!). Mommy would like to thank all of the parents that asked their preschoolers not to touch baby Jesus. For those that didn't, Mommy was not shy in telling them to only touch my feet. Most of them listened.
I got tired of looking around and fell asleep about half way through. But I woke up at the end when ALL of the visitrs gathered around and sang Christmas carols. It was really neat!
The visitors got to come up close and see me (this little girl's name is Audrey, too! Mommy and Daddy are in Sunday School with her mommy and daddy). Some children even brought gifts to baby Jesus. Mommy answered lots of questions: "where does Baby Jesus sleep?" (upon hearing it was in the manger, one little girl tried to collect all of the hay on the ground to make the manger bed softer for me! I never actually got in the manger bed, though); "Where is Joseph?" (ummmmm . . . he's around here somewhere); "Are you really Mary and is this REALLY baby Jesus?" (for today, yes we are :)). I had such a fun day!! Thank you to Mrs. Susan for asking Mommy and me to play the part!
